Frequently asked questions.

Where are the classes located?

Peaceful Hearts Learning is located in Yaroomba, on the Sunshine Coast.

Do you offer longer hours?

No - Peaceful Hearts Learning is not a family daycare, childcare service or a kindergarten. It is a tutoring service supporting children's learning, development & wellbeing. Weekly workshops and private tuition are offered.

My child is home-schooling. Can they attend?

The programs at Peaceful Hearts Learning help children build skills to support their lifelong journeys, and are suitable for all children whether they are going on to attend school, or home-schooling.

Who are the programs suitable for?

All children will benefit from learning the techniques and strategies that will support their wellbeing and life long learning.

Classes can also help

  • Children who would benefit from developing their confidence, communication and assertiveness

  • Children who prefer small group learning

  • Children who may benefit from some extra support with their social and emotional skills

  • Children who have not attended a social learning environment before and would benefit from a gentle transition and learning some skills to help them cope

  • Children who love fun and creativity

  • Families who may need some extra support before making a decision about their child’s readiness for school

Can my child attend on a casual basis?

No - a term commitment is required. To get the most out of the program, children are encouraged to attend weekly for the duration of the term or the full year if you wish. Each week the learning builds on that of previous weeks. Keeping each class consistent helps to build connections and to promote each child’s sense of security within the group.

Do parents attend with children?

Parents are not required to stay and are welcome to drop and go for the duration of the session. Prior to your child starting at Peaceful Hearts Learning, you will be invited to come in and visit our space in preparation for the term ahead, to ensure that everyone feels comfortable.

Can my child trial a class?

Yes. If there is a vacancy on your preferred day, your child is certainly welcome to try a class before committing to a term.
